Exploring the risks, rewards, and security of data-driven decision-making in the Equus Platform

In today’s ever-changing world, mobility teams need to quickly adapt to new regulations, socio-political environments, and their employees’ needs – all while supporting their business partners with insights to drive strategic decisions. To do this effectively, businesses need to transform their approach to empower them with the data they need, when they need it most.

The Rewards

Leveraging well-understood data analytics and the underpinning security protocols allows individuals to make informed decisions on how best to manage their mobility programs.

Enhancing your data protection initiatives can enable the protection of sensitive data, business continuity, enhanced customer trust, competitive benefit, and early detection and response. Protecting the personal information of employees throughout the mobility process is paramount in today’s data-driven world.

The valuable insights offered by data analytics allow you the opportunity to become a strategic partner, but what are the associated risks with data-driven decision-making?

The Risks

Failure to ensure data integrity can result in regulatory non-compliance, legal fines and penalties, and reputational damage. Without broader security practices in place, organizations leave themselves vulnerable to risk exposure.

In the Equus Platform, organizations are leveraging our technology solutions to harness the power of their data with the confidence instilled by our industry-standard security certifications and partnerships.

This is inclusive of, but not limited to, Microsoft Azure, Atlassian, PingIdentity, DocuSign, and Firebase Cloud Messaging. At Equus, we have obtained accreditations from renowned frameworks such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 1 compliance, and currently working towards achieving the highest level of security assurance in SOC 2 Type 2.

Equus Platform: Data Security

Equus conducts weekly vulnerability reviews and monthly reviews for overall system/network activity. In addition, the Equus Platform undergoes annual penetration testing with IBM Security Services, including manual and automated attacks from external and logged-in user perspectives. Any findings from these tests are ranked and reported to Equus according to risk and impact along with recommended steps for remediation.

You can be confident that your data is secure in the Equus Platform, supported by the below security functionality

  • Access – Global Employees, Stakeholders and Vendors have Role Based Security, allowing access to only the information they need, when they need it. This can be supported through Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Single Sign On (SSO).
  • Systems Integrations – Both SFTP and API connections allow for two-way data relationships, reducing or eliminating manual data entry, and supporting a single source of truth.
  • Vendors Integrations – The Equus Ecosystem integrates various data sets into a centralized system, controlling global employee data through a secure and encrypted gateway.

Rich data, combined with innovative technology tools, and secured with industry-leading protection measures helps connect the entire mobility value chain of HR, Talent, Reward and Vendor Systems to facilitate the seamless management of a company’s global workforce.
