The Inc. 5000 list acknowledges the most successful private companies in the United States from the past year based on revenue and employee growth.
Recognized since 2009, Equus’ overall ranking for 2017 is 3,304, with an impressive 96 percent three-year growth rate. In addition, Equus added 63 jobs during that same period to its rapidly growing employee base. The 2017 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2013 to 2016. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2013. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2016. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2013 is $100,000; the minimum for 2016 is $2 million.
